Renewable Energy by Eon Wind Windfarm company

Paul Pynn P.Eng. founded Eon WindElectric Inc. in 2006. Since its inception, the company has managed wind energy projects in Canada, the US and internationally.

Prior to founding Eon, Mr. Pynn spent 6 years as general manager of Atlantic Orient Canada Inc., manufacturer of the AOC 15/50 wind turbine. With AOCI, Mr. Pynn was integrally involved in all aspects of design and development of the turbine as well as managing installations in Canada, Dominican Republic, Ireland, Scotland and India and has done installation, service, maintenance and consulting work on projects in Ontario, Nunavut, Iowa, Maine, New York and various locations around the UK.

Mr. Pynn is a past member of the CSA/IEC wind turbine standards committee and a current member of the Canadian Wind Energy Association small wind committee, the APENS Environment committee and regularly participates in international wind energy conferences.

Prior to becoming involved in the wind power industry, Mr. Pynn was involved in several multi-million dollar construction projects in Canada and internationally. Mr. Pynn holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Memorial University (1995) and a certificate of electronics technology (2005).

Eon Wind Company Profile

Phillip Hollett P.Eng. is a professional engineer (electrical) with over 13 years of experience in project management and R&D.  His experience includes product development, product deployment and prototype troubleshooting in Canada, USA, Denmark and Kuwait. 

During Mr. Hollett’s career as a technical engineer he designed control systems to interface with diverse systems including components such as HV power supplies, motors, blowers, rf pallets, LCD displays and touchscreens. He has designed for environments that include temperature extremes, mechanical vibration, the presence of AC noise, and the presence of drooping and unreliable AC power. He made a career of developing prototype products which he then helped bring to a manufacturable state. He helped sell these products by providing technical expertise at trade shows and conferences. He has the ability to understand and resolve not only complex technical problems, but also to interface successfully with customers and address their concerns.

Since joining Eon, Mr. Hollett has led the growth in the wind turbine O&M, service and commissioning business units both in Canada and the USA. He is also playing a lead role in the development of a cost effective residential scale wind turbine. Mr. Hollett is a registered professional engineer in both Newfoundland and Ontario. He is currently completing a Masters in Business Administration.
